AREA LAKES

Our area lakes provide year round enjoyment - camping, picnics, boating, swimming, fishing and hunting.

Each of the lakes provide a great place for camping with electrical hookups, showers, restrooms, dump stations, picnic shelters and barbeque grills available and require park permits. Fishing enthusiasts can catch largemouth & smallmouth bass, white bass, white & black crappie, northern pike, and walleye. Hunters enjoy a variety of game including pheasant, quail, duck, Canadian geese, rabbit, deer and turkey.

Red Willow SRA is located 11 miles north of McCook with two boat ramps. Amenities include a restaurant, sand volleyball, designated swimming beach, camping supplies, groceries, gas, bait, tackle, boat rentals and fishing, hunting and park entry permits.

Medicine Creek SRA is located 25 miles east of McCook, 7 miles north of Cambridge. There are three boat ramps.  Amenities include a restaurant, groceries, camping supplies, bait, tackle, boat rentals, gas, modern air-conditioned cabins.

Swanson SRA is located 24 miles west of McCook with two boat ramps. Amenities include short order food, groceries, bait, tackle, water-ski equipment, gas, hunting, fishing and park entry permits, and a trailer court with electrical hookups.

Enders SRA is located 50 miles northwest of McCook and has one area boat ramp. Groceries, bait and other supplies are available at the village of Enders, north of the lake.
