• McCook Area Educator Award Presentation  The McCook Area Educator Award is presented annually to an area K-12 educator along with a monetary stipend. The Chamber Education Committee chooses the recipient based on information given by the person making the nomination and with additional info from the candidate after they have been told of their nomination. It is a way to recognize educators who truly are "special educators" and are having a significant impact on students.

• State Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast  The State Chamber annually comes to McCook to discuss items facing the legislature in the next session. Our State Senator is also invited to attend and present the opinion of the legislators. The McCook Area Chamber of Commerce is the host and makes all arrangements for the breakfast meeting. It is an opportunity for area residents to have a voice in the process and to remind them of issues our area is facing.
