Dear Sir:
My wife and I were traveling through McCook and experienced car trouble. Needing to get a fuel pump and have it replaced to reach our destination. We were not only impressed, but very appreciative of the friendly service we recieved from Wagner Chevrolet, Car Quest Parts and the fine people of McCook. We were delayed overnight until the next morning when they told us to arrive at the parts store at 7:30 a.m. and then go to Wagner for the installation. When we arrived at Wagner, no mechanics were available, but the Manager and the gentleman who changes oil rallied to install the part and drain our bad gas (tank had over 5" of water in it) and get us back on the road. During our waiting time we visited your WalMart, a Farmer's Market off main street, and had a great breakfast. You should be proud of your fine city. We definitely appreciated everyone's warmth and welcoming attitude. Thank you!

I recently spent an afternoon shopping in McCook. What a enjoyable change from Malls and repeat chain stores. dI know Wal-Mart is present in your community, and allways will be. They to provide jobs and contribute to the community, but it is "Morris Street " that attracts me , and makes your community a place I would I would like to possible someday consider to relocate in.

Recently, upon returning from our vacation in Texas, my husband and I were storm stayed in McCook. We visited The Looking Glass and made some new friends. They all made us feel very welcome and help turn a bad situation into one that we will always remember. Your town should be very proud of the citizens that we met and the enjoyable evening they shared with us. We can't wait until next year! We will be re-visiting McCook on our way South -staying there instead of Liberal. Thanks again for the great time and remember "it's 5 o'clock somewhere!

Hi! I was born in McCook and am wondering if anyone can tell me if they know any relatives of Earl Carroll Sr. He had some half-sisters that lived in the area. He was my grandfather. I know there was and Earl Carroll and Lorene Carroll. Earl (Bud) was my uncle and Lorene and her daughter Mary still live there.

Hello, I would like to visit McCook town. I have found that the first McCook to emigrate to America from my home town of Ballymoney Northern Ireland was George McCook who is a family connection. His sons fought in the Civil wars & I believe this town was named McCook as appreciation to thier efforts.
