  • McCook Area Educator Award Presentation
    The McCook Area Educator Award is presented annually to an area K-12 educator along with a monetary stipend. The Chamber Education Committee chooses the recipient based on information given by the person making the nomination and with additional info from the candidate after they have been told of their nomination. It is a way to recognize educators who truly are "special educators" and are having a significant impact on students.

    This award winning festival brings together local and national storytellers for a weekend of traditional entertainment. Personally experience storytelling, workshops, stories in song, cowboy poetry, ghost stories and more.

  • MNB Hot Summer Nights

  • Heritage Days Celebration
    Held the last weekend of September: Our largest annual celebration features a weekend of activities for the whole family, a craft fair and entertainment in Norris Park and the Heritage Parade.

    A welcome to new area educators to show appreciation and support as they begin their teaching career in southwest Nebraska.

  • Halloween Parade & Festivities
    Annual parade through downtown McCook. Halloween bags given out.
  • State Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast
    The State Chamber annually comes to McCook to discuss items facing the legislature in the next session. Our State Senator is also invited to attend and present the opinion of the legislators. The McCook Area Chamber of Commerce is the host and makes all arrangements for the breakfast meeting. It is an opportunity for area residents to have a voice in the process and to remind them of issues our area is facing.

  • KFNF Christmas Lights Parade
    Kick off the Christmas season with a light parade, refreshments, the tree lighting ceremony and Santa after dark.
